About Suzanne

Suzanne Hein

I’m Suzanne Hein and welcome to my blog. This is a place where I share my ideas, designs, and photos. Most that I am proud of and some, well… just for the heck of it.

What’s with the name? Well, I would love to say it’s something artsy, like it’s something to do with photography frames or frames for my art, but let’s be honest here… My husband and I were tossing around names for my blog and in teasing me, he suggested something in reference to my Big Blue Frames that I used to call glasses. (They were only worn from grade four to grade seven.)  ***note: the lady at the optometrist’s office said that they looked “great” and that she could just BEND the arms to fit my head.     true.story.

A little about me… I am married to Shannon the jock, bike boy and athlete who is my biggest fan, as I am his. Even though we came from different “genres”, we met in the middle over a love for U2, The Cure and corduroy pants and it has been nauseating love for (gulp) 11 years! We live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and we have a dog named Berkeley who enjoys carrots over raw hotdogs anyday. My secret pleasures are traveling, canoeing, singing in the car, dangly earings, new music, burritos, wine, laughing, potty humour, cheese, flipflops and yoga pants, and not to mention the smell of Abercrombie & Fitch stores. good.god.i.love.that.smell.

I have a diploma in Early Childhood Development, an Education Degree and I recently worked with infants and pregnant & perenting teens who both always inspiring me and force me to question my own life’s doings. I am currently working with older infants and young toddlers and am a Validator for the Government of Alberta’s Child Care Accreditation.

I am a painter, a writer, a photographer, a runner, a reader, a listener, and a pretty good cook if I don’t say.

I have recently completed the training to become a Doula and my focus will be childbirth photography. As many people enjoy having life’s most gratifying moments captured in still, childbirth seems to be one of those experiences that is missed in the albums. My goal is to offer photos that are elegant, tasteful and true depictions of the most mystical human experiences (without too many gooey details).

If you would like to contact me regarding any of my work, you may do so by e-mail at suzyenders@yahoo.ca

I would love to hear from you! Even if it’s just to chat or to say “Hey!”

Hugs,

Suzanne
